The 21st-century lightbulb

Open like a lightbulb
used to be.

For a hundred years the socket was an open standard — any bulb, from any maker, fit any lamp, anywhere. You bought it once and owned it outright. Then lighting got "smart," and started asking for an account. gadz.tech makes smart lamps that work without us, forever: open firmware, swappable shades, yours to keep.

The product is the argument

OPEN — the gadz app on a phone (also works with WLED / Home Assistant) · 4:3 · 1200×900

Open

A polished gadz app on top, and WLED-compatible firmware underneath — the way the socket was an open standard. No cloud, no account, no expiration date. Use our app, or any open tool; it never locks you in.

PLATFORM — diffusers on lamp + shelf · 4:3 · 1200×900

Modular

One light module, magnetic diffusers that swap between every product — the way bulbs and shades always came apart. Replace a part, never the whole thing.

MATERIAL — Bisqlite resin, lit close-up · 4:3 · 1200×900

Yours

A finished, owned object printed in Bisqlite™, our bone-china-white material — made to keep for decades, not binned in a year.

The catalog

Studio to shelf

Made between the prototype bench and the production line.

Most hardware hides behind tooling and minimum orders. We build in-house at low volume — every piece finished by hand, iterated fast, made without the waste of mass manufacturing. A designed object should outlive the company that made it.
